Jenny Lind was a Swedish opera singer who became known as the “Swedish Nightingale.” Beginning in 1850, sponsored by P. T. Barnum, she toured in the United States to much acclaim. The Jenny Lind Fan is a brisé style folding fan with broad leaf or petal-shaped sections, sometimes topped with feathers, such as this one.
